drunomics Steps Up at DrupalCon Vienna 2025 with Sponsorship and Full-Team Presence
With the launch of mossbo, three technical sessions, and a Gold Sponsorship, Vienna-based drunomics brings headless innovation and sustainable UX to DrupalCon on home ground.
DrupalCon Vienna 2025 begins tomorrow, and for drunomics, this year’s event carries special significance. As a Gold Sponsor, with their entire team in attendance and multiple sessions on the schedule, the Vienna-based agency is not just showing up. They’re stepping up.
Vienna is home turf for drunomics, and their sponsorship reflects a deeper investment in the community that has shaped their work for over a decade. As a Gold Certified Drupal Partner and the only Drupal-certified agency with working offices in Austria, the company has long contributed to DrupalCon Contribution Days and open source initiatives. This year, their presence comes with an extra milestone: the official launch of mossbo, a cloud CMS ecosystem built on their open source project, Lupus Decoupled.

Oliver Berndt, Managing Partner and COO at drunomics explains that becoming a sponsor for this year’s event was a natural step, especially with DrupalCon happening in their home city. He highlights that this year marks the official launch of mossbo, their cloud CMS ecosystem powered by the open source project Lupus Decoupled, and that it reflects months of development work integrating new capabilities such as AI features and Drupal Canvas. He adds,
“Drupal has been evolving rapidly. We've spent recent months integrating new capabilities like AI features and Drupal Canvas into both Lupus Decoupled and mossbo, and we continue to adopt new features as they become available.”
“We're looking forward to showcasing both our product and our contributions to the open source community at our booth (G5), and we're interested to get direct feedback from the Drupal community on what we've built.”
With multiple nominations at the International Splash Awards and at Splash Awards Germany & Austria, drunomics is positioned as both a technical leader and a creative force in the Drupal ecosystem. At Booth G5, attendees will have the chance to explore mossbo firsthand and engage directly with the team behind it.
Oliver Berndt outlines the key takeaway for visitors.
Oliver Berndt
“We want attendees to walk away understanding that headless Drupal can keep pace with Drupal's evolution. mossbo, built on the open source project Lupus Decoupled, demonstrates how recent Drupal capabilities like AI features and Drupal Canvas integrate into decoupled architectures. We're open to discussing these implementations and the technical approach behind them at our booth. drunomics is committed to the Drupal community through open source contributions. Our product development feeds back into Lupus Decoupled, which anyone can use. We want attendees to leave understanding where headless Drupal stands today and how community-driven development advances it.”
drunomics is also making an impact through three sessions led by team members.
“I'm giving a lightning talk on transforming Drupal CMS easily into a decoupled system with a modern frontend - opening it to the world of modren UI libraries. (link) That's perfect for site-builders to learn how to leverage today's best UI component libraries without writing a single line of Drupal code.”
"I'll be sharing my work on integrating Drupal Canvas with Externally hosted JavaScript and Decoupled Drupal setups like Lupus Decoupled Drupal (link). I'm excited about the possibilities that modern JavaScript development can bring to Drupal Canvas. Together, with Balint we'll give an overview of varying integration approaches and when to use what!”
“In my presentation, I will explain what Green UX actually is and why it is important for us as digital professionals to take responsibility. Of course, I will also address the topic of AI. I hope that the audience will leave the presentation with a greater awareness of the environmental impact of digital products, but also with a few concrete ideas about what they can do to improve that impact.”
She adds:
“I am actually most looking forward to seeing many of our team again and hope that I will find time to listen to some of the other presentations, like e.g. John Lockhart's talk about Accessibility, Sustainability and the Open Web.”
With their Gold Sponsorship, product launch, three sessions, and award nominations, drunomics is making its mark across all layers of the DrupalCon Vienna experience. Whether you're attending to explore headless architectures, dig into sustainable UX, or just see where Drupal is headed next, drunomics offers insights grounded in deep community participation and forward-thinking development.
