Palermo Drupal Meetup Happens Tomorrow with Talks on AI, Kubernetes and React
The Drupal community in Palermo will come together tomorrow, December 18, for a Christmas edition meetup hosted at IM*MEDIA. The event invites developers, content editors, and newcomers to participate in building a functional Drupal mini-site while exploring decoupled architecture and AI-enhanced editorial tools.
The program begins with Francesco Maria Battaglia introducing Drupal’s content modeling fundamentals, including content types, taxonomy, and View Blocks. Giuseppe Piazza will demonstrate how the Views module powers filtered and dynamic content listings that structure how data is presented. These foundational elements will guide the collaborative build of a simple blog or news site during the session.
Next, Rachael Censuales will showcase a headless integration using JSON:API and Next.js, illustrating how Drupal can serve as a flexible backend for modern frontend frameworks. To close the event, Frederik Wouters will present use cases for AI in content creation, including text generation, SEO suggestions, and editorial automation through CKEditor integrations and Automators.
The event runs from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM CET at IM*MEDIA, Via Antonio Gagini 59. Open to curious first-timers, seasoned developers, and content professionals, this meetup offers a practical and inclusive way to deepen Drupal knowledge in a festive, collaborative atmosphere.
