Webhaven Adopts Drupal Canvas as Default Page Builder
Webhaven has adopted Drupal Canvas—the Drupal community’s upcoming visual page builder—as its default content creation tool, bringing real-time, drag-and-drop editing to its distribution even before a stable release.
Drupal Canvas is currently available as a release candidate (1.0.0‑rc3 as of November 7, 2025), and is expected to become the default site-building experience in Drupal once it reaches stable. It introduces a new era of on-page editing—transforming how users interact with Drupal’s layout and design tools.
Built on Drupal’s core strengths, Canvas delivers a modern drag-and-drop interface with real-time previews, component-based layouts, and in-place editing. Its visual workflow lowers technical barriers while preserving flexibility—making it ideal for both seasoned developers and editorial teams.
Webhaven’s early adoption of Canvas reflects confidence in the tool’s stability and promise. Fons Vandamme, Webhaven’s founder, shared that they’ve already integrated it fully and found it transformative for their content workflow.
As Canvas approaches its stable 1.0.0 release, more Drupal distributions and users are expected to follow suit—signaling a shift in Drupal’s usability narrative and empowering a broader set of users to build with confidence.
