DrupalCamp Scotland 2025: Full Session Lineup and Speaker Details
DrupalCamp Scotland 2025 has published its full speaker and session schedule for November 7, taking place at 50 George Square on the University of Edinburgh’s Central Campus.
The one‑day camp will include technical and strategic talks focused on structured content, user experience, component previews, AI’s impact on workflows, and multi‑site platform consolidation. Among the confirmed speakers are Paul McCrodden and Laura Waldoch from the University of Cambridge, presenting "Less Is More: Streamlining 500+ Diverse University Sites into One Central Platform." Dan Champion of Rohallion will discuss lessons from local services in "Everyone’s Rubbish: What Bin Collections Taught Me About Drupal."
Other presentations include James South of Manifesto and Aaron McHale of the University of Edinburgh, sharing insights from "How Transforming a University Website Led to Transforming an In-House and Agency Relationship," and Philippe Fara from Renfrewshire Council on "Object-Oriented UX in Action: Building Renfrewshire.gov.uk with Structured Content in Drupal." Phil Norton of Code Enigma will demonstrate "Using Storybook To Preview Single Directory Components," while Gareth Alexander explores "Same Image, Different Story: Why Drupal Needs Contextual Media Architecture."
Keynotes and conceptual sessions will tackle broader industry concerns. Hilmar Kári Hallbjörnsson will present "So, 'I Thought I Heard That We Won't Need Junior Devs Now That We Have Generative AI?'," critiquing overreliance on AI and stressing the need to invest in training junior developers. Jochen Lillich follows with "GenEI Over GenAI: The Human Side of Website Delivery." Emma Horrell will close with "Drupal CMS: What’s New, What’s Next (with Added UX)." The day will follow a structured schedule including welcome remarks, morning and afternoon sessions with coffee breaks, lunch, closing comments and a social gathering.
