Double Opt-In with Mautic in 2025 – Introducing the New DOI Plugin

Since my last talk on Double Opt-In with Mautic in 2023, both Mautic itself and our approach to DOI have evolved significantly. For years, the Mautic community has debated the “best” way to implement Double Opt-In, leading to a mix of vanilla solutions, configurations, workarounds, and third-party plugins. In this session, I’ll explain how we distilled those approaches into one unified solution: The new Mautic DOI Plugin. We’ll walk through its approach and design, compare it to existing alternatives, and demonstrate how it delivers a reliable, consistent, and future-proof method for handling Double Opt-In in Mautic.
