Upgrading UNOLS Website to Drupal 10: A Case Study on Performance and Accessibility Improvements
Inclind

Upgrading the University-National Oceanographic Laboratory System (UNOLS) website from Drupal 7 to Drupal 10 was crucial for improving performance, accessibility, and content management. As detailed in Inclind's case study, the outdated Drupal 7 platform was limiting UNOLS' ability to manage its oceanographic research coordination efforts efficiently. Inclind's upgrade modernized the site with a new Bootstrap 5 theme, enhanced search functionality using Pantheon Solr, and improved media management.

Accessibility was prioritized, bringing the website into compliance with WCAG 2.2 AA standards. Advanced analytics were integrated for better user insights. The streamlined content management system empowered the UNOLS team to manage their digital resources more efficiently. This upgrade ensures that UNOLS' website remains secure, user-friendly, and scalable for the future.
