NETNODE AG Unveils DAM System for NodeHive and Drupal Media Workflows
NETNODE AG has released a digital asset management (DAM) system for NodeHive, aiming to simplify how Drupal users manage and deliver media assets at scale.
The new module offers core DAM capabilities, including quick mass uploading, fast media browsing, folder creation, collection grouping, metadata editing, and direct ZIP export. Built to address long‑standing media management limitations in Drupal, the system enhances how teams handle digital files in structured, user‑friendly ways.
“We at NETNODE AG further innovate with Drupal/NodeHive — today we just introduce a digital asset management system which allows you to organise media assets in a quick and convenient way.”
In a demo video, Lukas Fischer, founder of NetNode, showcases the tool's capabilities using a mock museum backend. A photographer uploads an entire exhibition’s images in one go — excluding duplicates — and immediately organises them into folders like “Exhibition Winter 2025.” Assets can be renamed, grouped into curated collections (such as “My Picks”), and exported as a ZIP file for sharing. Users can also edit metadata such as alt text and filenames directly in the interface.
Lukas emphasises that while this DAM isn’t positioned as a full enterprise‑grade solution, it meets the essential needs of most content teams. It provides practical, intuitive media organisation and integrates seamlessly with NodeHive’s headless Drupal architecture.
The tool is currently available to NodeHive customers and — according to the announcement — is expected to be released as an open‑source module in the coming weeks. NETNODE AG plans to iterate based on feedback and expand features over time.
