At DrupalCon Vienna 2025 in Vienna, drunomics participated as a Gold Sponsor and contributed to several organizational efforts, including the return of the International Splash Awards. According to a blog post by Jeremy Chinquist, the company collaborated with multiple community members to coordinate both the international and regional (Germany & Austria) Splash Awards. These events were held during the conference week Tuesday evening at the DrupalCon venue and Wednesday evening at Palais Wertheim alongside the official DrupalCon Community Party. The International Splash Awards featured global jurors, including drunomics CTO Wolfgang Ziegler, and recognized the company’s mossbo project with first place in the Apps & Tools category.

The DrupalCon program team emphasized technical content this year, following feedback gathered during a Birds of a Feather session at DrupalCon Barcelona 2024. Petra Morawa-Zechner presented an updated talk on Green UX, and Wolfgang Ziegler co-presented with Bálint Kléri on using Drupal Canvas for JavaScript frontend development. Roughly half of submitted sessions included AI-related content, and keynote topics included Drupal CMS 2.0 and neurodiversity. Contributions by several community members were acknowledged, including coordination support from Aikaterine Tsiboukas, Antonella Severo, and others in the track team.

Additional highlights included drunomics’ product booth featuring local snacks and information about mossbo, which was also presented on the sponsor stage. Drupal in a Day was sponsored by various companies and coordinated by Hilmar, with over 60 students attending. Social events such as trivia night were also part of the week’s activities. Chinquist concluded by reflecting on his tenure as Track Co-Chair and confirmed that Aikaterine Tsiboukas and Will Huggins would take on the role for DrupalCon Europe 2026 in Rotterdam.
