DrupalCon Chicago 2026 Invites Community to Submit Social Events for Official Listing
DrupalCon Chicago 2026 has opened submissions for community-led social events happening between and . Anyone organising a gathering—whether it’s a casual meetup, themed dinner, or game night—is encouraged to submit their event for inclusion on the official DrupalCon Chicago website.
Social events are a key part of the DrupalCon experience. They offer a relaxed environment for attendees to connect, exchange ideas, and build relationships beyond the conference sessions. By submitting an event, organisers can ensure their gathering is listed on the official schedule, helping participants discover and join in.
The listing is open to independently hosted events that adhere to the Drupal Code of Conduct. Details such as date, time, location, and event type must be clearly stated. Submissions are reviewed and updated on a weekly basis. While the Drupal Association does not manage these community events, listing them increases visibility and coordination across the conference week.
Among the community-led events already planned is a Pre-DrupalCon Tabletop Games session on at the Hilton Chicago, featuring games like Ticket to Ride and Dixit. Meanwhile, Trivia Night on remains the only official off-site event organised by the Drupal Association itself.
Organisers are encouraged to coordinate via the #drupalcon_north-america channel on Drupal Slack for updates and collaboration.
