Discover Leading Drupal Websites and Real-World Use Cases on 'TDT Discover'
Drupal has been declared “finished” more times than anyone can count. People point to newer tools, quicker setups or shiny trends. Yet the reality tells a different story. Drupal is still powering some of the most visited, most trusted and most resilient websites in the world. The DropTimes built the 'Discover page' to make that reality visible, a real-time testimony about the potential of Drupal. This new webpage is your window to 'Discover' or even 'Re-discover' Drupal. Drupal is evolving and is working quietly at the centre of major digital experiences people rely on every day.
The Discover page by The DropTimes brings this into focus. It features top Drupal websites ranked using Tranco, a system that measures global popularity based on real traffic data. This ranking removes speculation. It reflects what people actually visit, trust and return to. When a platform supports websites with that level of activity, it deserves to be seen clearly and understood fairly.
So far, TDT has listed more than 3,000 websites on the platform across over 30 categories. We have also begun featuring detailed case studies that offer insight into real-world Drupal implementations. These are not limited to Drupal Certified Partners. Any agency or end-user organisation delivering impactful work with Drupal is welcome to contribute. It's an open opportunity to showcase how Drupal solves real challenges across sectors.
These stories could provide context that statistics alone can’t offer. They show why organisations continue to rely on Drupal for serious, long-term digital work. The agenda is to showcase credible actions taken with Drupal across various sectors. It helps weave the Drupal story more effectively and helps organisations land mature contracts that go beyond website development.
How the Discover page helps different people
For companies and organisations that rely on Drupal
Appearing on the Discover page gives organisations something meaningful: visibility backed by real traffic data. When a website shows up in a globally ranked list, it signals trust, scale and stability. If the organisation chooses to publish a case study, that story becomes part of the public record. It highlights their goals, the decisions behind the build and the people who delivered it. This is real exposure, not marketing copy. And because the page is updated frequently and its scope continues to grow, new organisations have a constant chance to be seen, recognised and included.
For agencies, development teams and people building with Drupal
The Discover page is a practical tool. If you are evaluating Drupal for a new project, pitching a solution or trying to explain its strengths to a client, the examples here make your case stronger. Real websites. Real rankings. Real results. Agencies and freelancers also benefit from something rarely offered in technical work: visibility for the craft itself. When their projects appear on the page or when a case study is published, their work becomes part of a documented ecosystem. The page grows often, which means new builds, new migrations and new success stories can be added as the Drupal landscape evolves.
For the wider community and everyday users
The Discover page makes open source easier to understand. Many people visit Drupal-powered websites without knowing it. Seeing the names gathered in one place reveals how much of the digital world is supported by a community-driven platform. It also helps strengthen the community’s shared identity. Each new site added, each new case study published, and each update to the rankings reinforces the fact that Drupal continues to support essential digital experiences quietly and consistently. As the page expands, so does the picture of Drupal’s real impact.
The intention behind the initiative
The Discover page reflects The DropTimes' mission: to give Drupal the recognition it has earned, outside of the Drupal bubble. The tech world often shifts focus to whatever is newest, even when the most reliable tools continue delivering at scale. The Discover page counters that narrative with evidence. It highlights Drupal’s continued relevance through real implementations and detailed stories, not claims.
Every site featured and every case study added strengthens the picture of a platform that remains dependable, adaptable and supported by a global community.
An open invitation to contribute
"With Discover Drupal, we wanted to bring real Drupal websites and the stories behind them into one place, organised by sector and ranking. We’re showing who is using Drupal, how they’re using it, and what’s possible for similar projects. Our hope is that it helps businesses see that Drupal can work for them too, and gives agencies a place to highlight the Drupal projects they’ve delivered."
shares Vimal Joseph, Head of Technology, The DropTimes
The Discover page is designed to grow. If you notice a Drupal website that should be included, we want to hear from you. If you have a case study that could help others understand what Drupal makes possible, we would be glad to help bring it to the page.
