Rapid-Response Digital Hub for Public Health Advocacy

Defend Public Health (DPH) is a volunteer-driven network that unites public health researchers, healthcare workers, and advocates dedicated to promoting health equity and truth in public discourse. In response to increasing political challenges against public health, particularly during the Trump administration, DPH recognized the urgent need for a digital presence to support its nationwide organizing efforts.

Prior to the launch of their website, DPH lacked an online platform to amplify their voice and mobilize support. The organization required a site that could be developed quickly to facilitate grassroots action and provide essential infrastructure for campaigns and volunteers. The urgency of the situation called for a solution that could be implemented without delay.

Utilizing the Drupal content management system, a pro bono effort was initiated to create a bold and functional website for DPH. This new site not only serves as a communication tool but also scales with the organization’s evolving needs, ensuring that it can effectively support their mission and outreach efforts.
