Drupal AI Hackathon 2026 “Play to Impact” with the European Commission

Drupal AI Hackathon 2026 “Play to Impact” with the European Commission

The Drupal Community of Practice at the European Commission and EUIBAs are hosting the “Play to Impact” Drupal AI Hackathon on 27–28 January 2026 in Brussels. The two‑day event brings together makers to work hands‑on with Drupal’s AI ecosystem, including agentic automation tools for content workflows and the experimental AI features in the newly released Canvas page builder. Participants will focus on prototyping practical solutions that help real teams work more effectively while maintaining trust, governance, and human oversight.

The hackathon is designed to be cross‑functional, welcoming marketers, digital teams, content and UX professionals, agencies, integrators, and Drupal practitioners. The program includes structured sessions and collaborative work at the European Commission premises, culminating in team presentations to an expert jury. Recognised teams will gain visibility in the Drupal community, and the event is positioned as an opportunity to learn, connect, and build real tools that advance Drupal AI adoption.
