BeeHotel Drupal Module Enhances Event Display and Booking Configuration
Augusto Fagioli has announced a fresh update to BeeHotel, the Drupal-based hospitality module, introducing expanded event display features and configuration tools for hotel and B&B platforms.
The new release adds default check-in and check-out times, a "First Morning" section to the "Happening Now" view, and broader time configuration controls. These updates aim to streamline how staff manage and display daily events, improving visibility for guests and administrators alike.
Usability enhancements include fixes to permission handling and optimizations to the "Happening Today" display. In addition, the module now includes more detailed code documentation to support developers configuring or extending its features.
BeeHotel continues to evolve as a complete guest reservation and engagement platform built on Drupal. Previous releases introduced guest message tokens for personalized communications and automated door access for streamlined check-ins, as covered in earlier TDT stories: Guest Message Tokens and Automated Access and Staff Tools.
These cumulative enhancements position BeeHotel as a practical solution for the hospitality sector, offering a no-fee, self-hosted alternative to third-party booking systems. The module includes a sample hotel deployment script and full documentation to help new users get started quickly.
The updated module is available now on Drupal.org.
