Deepak Ramachandran Pillai shared a detailed recap of the Drupal Kochi Meetup held on October 30, 2025, where local community members discussed takeaways from DrupalCon Vienna and announced new sponsorship support for upcoming events in Kerala.

The meetup took place at Tinker Space, Kochi, and welcomed both in-person and online participants through Google Meet. Mujeeb Rahman, who recently entered the Drupal ecosystem, spoke about his first DrupalCon experience and how volunteering helped him explore the role of AI in Drupal’s development. Shibin Das, a long-time DrupalCon participant and session speaker at Vienna, shared behind-the-scenes insights into managing session recordings and noted the growing focus on AI-driven features within Drupal.

Anish Anilkumar reflected on the warm community spirit he experienced in Vienna, speaking about travel, networking, and cultural exchange during the conference. Anto Jose, who volunteered at DrupalCon Vienna, highlighted the value of networking opportunities and social activities such as Trivia Night, which strengthen community bonds among attendees.

The meetup concluded with an announcement that Factorial GmbH will sponsor future Drupal meetups in Kerala. This partnership aims to support more in-person gatherings, attract student participation, and expand awareness of Drupal within regional tech communities.
