Drupal Nakuru Meetup Announced for September 13 at Lish AI Labs
The Drupal community in Kenya's Rift Valley is set to gather for the Drupal Nakuru Meetup on Saturday, September 13, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM (GMT+3) at Lish AI Labs in Nakuru County. With the theme "Unleashing Web Power with Drupal," the event invites developers, content creators, and tech professionals to explore the open-source CMS through expert sessions, hands-on demos, and peer networking.
Open to all skill levels, the meetup will cover Drupal's modular architecture, content management workflows, and API-first approach. Attendees will work with features like Layout Builder for drag-and-drop design, explore multilingual capabilities, and learn how to customize functionality using contributed modules for SEO, commerce, and performance.
Workshops will focus on practical site-building techniques, content modeling, and scaling strategies for high-traffic use cases. Developers interested in headless CMS workflows will gain insights into JSON:API integrations and frontend flexibility using modern JavaScript frameworks.
The event is designed to foster local talent and connect Nakuru's growing tech community. Attendees can expect hands-on learning, access to expert guidance, networking opportunities, and community swag.
Hosted at Lish AI Labs (P389+358, Nakuru), the event is being organized by Godfrey Cheppar. Registration is required to attend.
