Drupal AI Initiative Expands Marketing Push with Events, Webinars, and European Commission Partnership
Paul Johnson details significant marketing milestones for the Drupal AI Initiative in June. The groundwork began during Drupal Developer Days in April, where collaboration set the stage for broader outreach. Marketing efforts accelerated with support from The Drupal Association and six founding companies, enabling visibility across Drupal.org and events like AI Summit London.
A core team—initially Paul and Frederik Wouters—led content creation, working closely with Dries Buytaert. They developed videos, imagery, and printed materials while preparing for high-profile showcases. The AI Summit marked Drupal’s growing presence in enterprise and public sector AI conversations.
James Abrahams and Dries launched a webinar series with the European Commission, following the Drupal@Europa hackathon. The team also hosted a community-focused AMA webinar, now available online. Weekly marketing meetings and a growing contributor base signal momentum.
