DrupalCon Portland 2024: Community Events and EOWG Gatherings
DrupalCon Portland 2024 is currently underway, offering numerous opportunities for event organizers to network and share insights. Throughout the week, attendees can interact with the Event Organizers Working Group (EOWG) and other like-minded individuals across various scheduled events.
The Community Events Booth, located at Booth #106 in the Expo Hall, will serve as a hub for EOWG board members and event organizers all week. Participants are encouraged to bring and exchange stickers and swag with the community.
On Monday, May 6, the Event Organizers Roundtable Birds of a Feather (BOF) session provided a platform for an open discussion. Held in Room G132 at Table 1 from 2:00 to 3:00 PM, this gathering allowed existing and prospective event organizers to exchange ideas and learn more about the EOWG.
Today, Wednesday, May 8, marks Contribution Day, which will be held from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM in Room B115-116. Attendees are invited to collaborate on enhancing the Community Events page.
The week's events will continue with the Community Summit on Thursday, May 9, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM in Room C120-122. A panel presented by EOWG Board members will start at 9:15 AM, followed by a day of community discussions. This event is open to all members of the Drupal community free of additional charge.
The EOWG also offers an online meeting option for those unable to attend in person. An open meeting will take place via Slack on Tuesday, May 14, starting at 16:00 UTC. The session will cover a range of topics, including initiative updates, camp reports, and a DrupalCon report. Participants can join the discussion in the #event-organizers channel on Drupal Slack.
