Upgrade of Humanitarian Outcomes Website from Drupal 7 to Drupal 11
Humanitarian Outcomes (HO) is a collective of former aid workers, policymakers, and researchers dedicated to advising humanitarian aid agencies and donor governments. Their focus is on providing evidence-based analysis and systematic research to enhance the effectiveness of aid deployment. Given the critical nature of their work, HO required a robust online presence to facilitate the exchange of secure data and present complex information effectively.
Recognizing the vulnerabilities associated with using Drupal 7, especially after its support was terminated, iTech4Web recommended an upgrade to Drupal 11. This transition was essential not only for security reasons but also to improve the overall functionality of their data-heavy website. The upgrade process was anticipated to be complex due to the intricate nature of the data presentation and the secure data exchange requirements.
The project involved meticulous planning and execution to ensure that the upgrade would not disrupt the existing services provided by HO. iTech4Web worked closely with HO to address the specific needs of the organization, ensuring that the new site would meet both current and future demands. The successful migration to Drupal 11 has positioned Humanitarian Outcomes to better serve its clients and stakeholders.
