Centralized Data Management Solution for SPC FAME Using Drupal

SPC Fisheries, Aquaculture and Marine Ecosystems (FAME) Division encountered significant challenges in managing data across 22 country portals. The absence of a centralized, cloud-based database and the lack of bulk import functionality hindered operational efficiency. Previously, advanced reporting tools were utilized through spreadsheets, making data consolidation and analysis both time-consuming and susceptible to errors.

To address these issues, OpenSense Labs collaborated with SPC FAME to develop a Drupal-based centralized platform. This new system integrates with Power BI dashboards, effectively consolidating all member requests, training records, and feedback into a single, secure, and accessible environment. The implementation of this solution has allowed for real-time insights and scalable data management.

The enhanced visual reporting capabilities provided by the new platform have significantly improved the organization's ability to analyze and present data. By streamlining data management processes, SPC FAME can now operate more efficiently and respond to member needs more effectively.
