Monarq Delivers Drupal 11 Migration for McGill Campus Store
Monarq has successfully migrated the McGill Campus Store website to Drupal 11, introducing a complete overhaul of its ecommerce platform, order management systems, and content architecture.
The project replaced the aging Drupal 7 infrastructure with a robust, future-ready implementation using Drupal 11 and modern Drupal Commerce tools. According to McGill staff, the transition was delivered with professionalism, bringing increased reliability and flexibility to day-to-day operations. The site now features shipment-based order workflows, customizable content components, and a more intuitive shopping experience.
With the new system, orders can be split into separate shipments depending on the delivery method, resolving past issues where mixed shipping requirements delayed fulfillment. Staff now have clearer workflows and real-time visibility into which items are shipped, ready, delayed, or uncollected. The platform integrates with McGill’s inventory systems to ensure stock levels and product data remain synchronized.
As part of the rebuild, Monarq introduced a redesigned site interface with a cleaner layout, enhanced navigation, and improved catalog organization. A flexible Section and Component system allows staff to manage pages, feature products, and launch marketing campaigns without technical support. The updated checkout experience aligns with the new backend order processing, reducing friction for customers and administrators alike.
This migration project reinforces Monarq's long-term collaboration with McGill University and supports the continued evolution of its digital retail operations.
