AmyJune Hineline Announced as Featured Speaker for Florida DrupalCamp 2026

Florida DrupalCamp 2026 has announced AmyJune Hineline as a featured speaker, presenting “Accessibility: The Never‑Ending Story” on 21 February 2026 at 1:00 PM in the Auditorium. Her session will examine accessibility not as a finish line but as an ongoing journey across the lifecycle of open source projects, offering practical strategies and insights for inclusive design.

AmyJune Hineline serves as Certification Community Architect at the Linux Foundation, where she supports certification exam development and documentation across a broad portfolio of technologies. At Florida DrupalCamp 2026, she will emphasise that accessibility is not a one‑time task but an ongoing discipline that must evolve with standards, technologies, and contributor practices.

Drawing inspiration from associative storytelling and real‑world challenges, AmyJune’s session will ground strategic accessibility thinking in practical guidance. She plans to cover the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) framework, preview the implications of the European Accessibility Act, and discuss how teams can maintain inclusive products across browsers, devices, and assistive technologies. Topics will include stakeholder engagement, team buy‑in, and a curated set of free tools for sustainable inclusion.

A longtime Drupal contributor and community leader, AmyJune is known for her work with A11yTalks and as co‑organiser of multiple DrupalCamps, including Florida, Asheville, and Colorado. Her background as a hospice nurse brings empathy to her accessibility advocacy, and her community service reflects a commitment to making the web more inclusive in practice as well as code.
