Varbase 10.1.0 Stable Released with Drupal 11.3 and PHP 8.4 Support
Rajab Natshah has officially announced the release of Varbase 10.1.0 stable, a milestone update that introduces full support for Drupal 11.3 and adopts PHP 8.4 as the new default version, reinforcing Varbase’s role as a modern and production-ready Drupal distribution.
Varbase, engineered to reduce setup time by over 200 hours, comes with essential modules, standardised configurations, and adaptive functionalities built around the DRY (Don’t Repeat Yourself) principle. The latest release has passed all CircleCI build checks and includes enhancements that streamline both development and editorial workflows.
Among the changes since release candidate 10.1.0-rc1 are the addition of a responsive inline layout for the AI Generate button with automatic alt-to-title copy functionality, and a Navigation Dashboard icon block added to the default admin layout. The Typography page in Varbase Storybook now showcases text elements using Bootstrap utility classes, offering clearer visual guidance for theming and styling.
The update also replaces the custom Varbase Dashboard icon with a standard block icon for consistency. As part of ongoing modernisation efforts, the release removes several deprecated elements, including the YouTube and Vimeo player libraries, the Webform Bootstrap module from the default Webform recipe, and the BigPipe module from the Varbase Core recipe. These removals contribute to a leaner, more maintainable codebase.
