LocalGov Drupal Connect Midlands Set for January 2026 in Gedling
LocalGov Drupal has announced its next Connect event, scheduled for Thursday, January 29, 2026, from 1:30 PM to 5:00 PM GMT at the Richard Herrod Centre in Carlton, Gedling, Nottinghamshire.
The Connect Midlands event invites digital teams from local councils across the UK to come together, share insights, and learn how others are using the LocalGov Drupal platform to address common challenges in digital service delivery. Both existing members of the LocalGov Drupal community and those exploring the platform for the first time are welcome to attend.
Attendees will hear directly from councils actively involved in the project, discuss real-world use cases, and participate in collaborative problem-solving sessions. The event also offers time for informal networking and conversations with peers from the broader open-source local government community.
In preparation, participants are encouraged to reflect on two guiding questions: What challenges has the platform helped you overcome in your role? And what challenges are you still wrestling with? These prompts aim to foster meaningful discussions and actionable insights during the event.
Following the main event, attendees are invited to continue the conversation at a nearby pub, offering further opportunities to connect and exchange ideas in a relaxed setting.
The event has been made possible with the support of Gedling Borough Council, special thanks to Eloise Leahy and Anthony Moore, and Big Blue Door, with appreciation to Simon Stewart for helping organise the gathering.
