Mark Conroy’s September 2025 LocalGov Drupal contributions demonstrate a wide-ranging focus on expanding microsite features, improving accessibility, and modernizing code across several core modules.

He submitted pull requests (PRs) to add LocalGov Guides, Step-by-Step, and Publications content types to the Microsites platform. A dependency issue involving LocalGov Services was resolved to support Publications within Microsites. Mark also introduced a new module, LocalGov Editoria11y, which integrates the Editoria11y accessibility checker with preconfigured permissions for editors.

Significant refactoring took place in LocalGov Services, where JavaScript was rewritten in ES6+ to remove jQuery dependencies and improve standards compliance. CSS fixes followed to ensure automated tests pass reliably. Other updates addressed navigation inconsistencies in Step-by-Step pages and improved editor experience through renamed tabs and cleaner UI behavior.

LocalGov Base received theming enhancements, including support for configurable CSS variables—accent colour, line height, and base spacing—through theme settings. A new Colour Picker Fields module now offers flexible colour management for microsites, while a new textarea in theme settings allows temporary custom CSS for early-stage development.

Additional fixes included correcting document embedding for both Webform and node file uploads, and updates to the Irish Planning Notices module to reflect current years and generate listings through 2030. Finally, LocalGov Replicate received an updated README and was officially released as version 1.0.0, qualifying it for Drupal Security Team coverage.
