Drupal AI Initiative Calls for Use Cases from Agencies, Developers, and End Users
The Drupal AI Initiative is inviting agencies, developers, partners, and end users to submit real-world use cases to help surface practical applications of Drupal AI, following a call published on Drupal.org. As of September 7, 2025, the Drupal AI project reports 7,363 installs, and the team aims to turn submissions into guest blogs, landing-page use cases, and case studies, with opportunities for webinars and conference sessions.
The open call—shared by Paul Johnson—seeks examples showing how teams are solving real problems with Drupal AI, from workflow improvements to content operations and user experience. Submissions are welcome from projects in research, pilot, beta, or production.
“Our objective is to gather use cases from real end users, agencies, and developers so we can create guest blogs and inform landing-page use cases with real-world examples that lead, over time, to case studies. It should also surface examples we’re not yet aware of—potential topics for webinars and conference sessions.”
Examples already in use
- Southwark Council (London): A Drupal AI-powered PDF importer for LocalGov Drupal converts thousands of print-designed PDFs into accessible, structured web content, automating pagination, headings, image extraction, and link mapping. LinkedIn post.
- University of Edinburgh (Scotland): An internship project added AI agents to the EdWeb CMS so editors can consult trusted resources (style guide, acronym database) inside the authoring experience. Project write-up.
- Artevelde University of Applied Sciences (Belgium): A tutorial demonstrates converting Figma designs into Drupal components using AI to accelerate design-to-code workflows. Tutorial.
These examples illustrate current activity across local government and higher education; the initiative expects more use cases to be in progress or already live.
How to contribute
If your organization is using Drupal AI—whether you’re an agency, Drupal Certified Partner, end user, or independent contributor—you’re invited to share your work. Selected use cases may become guest posts, landing-page examples, or material for future webinars and events. Call for submissions.
