Why the Upgrade?
Drupical is built to serve the global Drupal community, and as Drupal evolves, so should the tools that support it. New Year, new JavaScript framework :) That’s why we modernize Drupical’s frontend using Svelte, a cutting-edge JavaScript framework known for its speed and efficiency.
What’s New?
Modern Frontend with Svelte
The new Drupical frontend leverages Svelte to deliver a lightning-fast, seamless user experience.
Bug Fixes
We squashed several bugs to make Drupical more reliable than ever. No more glitches—just a clean, efficient experience tailored to the Drupal community.
Sync with Drupal.org Events
Drupical now syncs directly with Drupal.org’s events, ensuring the platform stays up-to-date with the latest happenings from the heart of the community. With our customized Drupal backend, we now update content whenever an event on d.o. is modified, not only when new content is added.
URL Patterns for Filters
Want to share your customized event search? Drupicals URL patterns reflect the current filters, so you can easily share specific event views with friends, colleagues, or your community.
Plan Your Trip with Google Maps
Dreaming of attending a Drupal event? Drupical now integrates with Google Maps, allowing you to plan your trip to events with ease. :P
Calendar Subscriptions
Never forget an event again! With the new calendar subscription feature, you can add events directly to your personal calendar. It’s never been easier to stay organized and connected.
Support for the “Drupal Fest” category
We introduced another category to our listing, and if there are celebrations, then we have also this new category visible.
Visualizing the Drupal CMS Celebration
The timing of this upgrade couldn’t be more perfect. Drupical was ready to help visualize the global excitement as the Drupal CMS Launch Party approached. With over 42 launch parties worldwide (when preparing this content), our platform enabled Drupalers to explore, share, and plan their celebrations.
With Drupical, you can quickly find the nearest event from Vienna to Vancouver or even map out a virtual celebration across multiple locations.
Looking Ahead
At acolono, we’re committed to supporting Drupal and its vibrant community. The Drupical rebuild is just one example of how we strive to innovate and enhance the tools that bring us together.
