Maxime Topolov Advocates for Drupal's Reinvention in Recent Blog Post
Maxime Topolov, Co-Founder and CEO at Code.Store, recently took to Medium to share his thoughts on the current state of Drupal in a blog post titled "Dries in Lille: Storytelling or Escapism for Drupal’s Challenges?" Topolov expressed concern about Drupal's current trajectory. He emphasized the need for immediate and significant reforms to prevent a potential gradual decline in Drupal's momentum.
Topolov, who has been out of the Drupal scene for five years, proposed a deep reinvention of Drupal as a new product targeting developers and complex projects. He suggested the creation of a powerful, modular, open-source back-end-as-a-service builder with API gateway capabilities and user-friendly admin interfaces – essentially a low-code open-source platform.
