Montréal Drupal Community to Celebrate 25 Years of Drupal
Drupal is turning 25, and Montréal’s Drupal community is gathering to mark the milestone with a local celebration hosted by Evolving Web and Symetris. The event, scheduled for January 15, 2026, will take place at the Evolving Web office at Montreal CoWork and is open to everyone who has been part of Drupal’s journey or is just beginning it.
The event is part of the broader global observance of Drupal’s 25th anniversary, commemorating a quarter-century since the platform’s creation in 2001. In that time, Drupal has grown from a small student project into one of the most powerful and flexible open-source content management systems in the world. Through countless contributions, collaborations, and community events, Drupal has helped shape the modern web and its community remains at the heart of that story.
Guests are invited to an informal evening of drinks, cake, and conversation in a relaxed setting. The celebration is not only an opportunity to reconnect with colleagues and friends in the Drupal ecosystem, but also to welcome new members into the fold. Whether attendees are longtime contributors, agency developers, site builders, or curious newcomers, all are encouraged to raise a glass to 25 years of innovation, inclusion, and open-source spirit.
“Join us for an evening to reconnect, meet new people, and celebrate 25 years of Drupal,”
the organizers shared in their announcement. The event runs from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM local time, and attendees are welcome to bring a friend or colleague. With Drupal 25 events happening around the world, this gathering adds a uniquely Montréal touch to the global celebration.
