VoxDev: Drupal Migration Success Story
The Orion Web team completed migrating and redeveloping the VoxDev website, a respected global platform for stakeholders in development policy. This project involved upgrading Drupal 7 to Drupal 9, incorporating Mailchimp for email digests, and enhancing content searchability and accessibility to meet AA WCAG standards.
Despite challenges such as obsolete modules and needing to recreate the Drupal 7 theme from scratch, the team overcame these with custom code and a streamlined project management approach, utilizing tools like JIRA and Slack. The updated site now offers improved functionality and accessibility, ensuring VoxDev continues to serve as a valuable resource for its international audience.
