Config Translation Sync 1.0.0 Released to Stabilize Multilingual Deployments in Drupal

Drupal developers deploying multilingual sites now have a powerful new tool to ensure translation consistency across environments with the release of Config Translation Sync 1.0.0.

The module, developed by Alexander Shabanov, targets a longstanding pain point in Drupal’s multilingual workflows: the risk of losing translated configuration during imports and deployments. Built as an extension to the core config_translation module, it introduces automated synchronization during each configuration import, minimizing friction in continuous deployment pipelines.

Config Translation Sync also supports manual synchronization through a new Drush command, drush crst, which gives site builders fine-grained control over what gets synced and when. Parameters such as --config-names, --exclude, and --langcode allow teams to tailor the synchronization to their specific needs, making it easier to maintain consistency across development, staging, and production environments.

Alongside these features, the module provides detailed logging to aid debugging and maintain transparency throughout the sync process. It supports Drupal versions 10 and 11 and requires that the core configuration translation module is enabled.

“No more lost translations after deploys,” said Alexander Shabanov, announcing the release. “Let’s make multilingual workflows smoother together.”
