Mobile Native Share 1.1.0 Adds Web Share API Support and Drupal 11 Compatibility

Mobile Native Share 1.1.0, released by Alexander Shabanov, brings full support for Drupal 10 and 11 along with improved sharing features and smarter browser fallbacks, making it easier to integrate native share buttons across Drupal websites.

The module allows site builders to add native share buttons to nodes, taxonomy terms, and comments using the Web Share API when available. If the browser does not support the API, the module falls back gracefully to the Clipboard API or a prompt dialog, ensuring consistent functionality across modern and legacy browsers. The 1.1.0 release introduces a new hook_mobile_native_share_entity_types_alter() allowing developers to enable sharing on additional entity types such as paragraphs or custom content types.

Configuration is accessible under the site’s Search and Metadata settings, where administrators can define per-bundle titles and descriptions with token support, adjust icon styles globally, and control display modes. The module also includes theme suggestions per entity type and bundle, allowing easy template overrides to fit design needs. These enhancements make the module well-suited for content-rich sites aiming to improve shareability without relying on external plugins or scripts.

Mobile Native Share is categorized under SEO tools and is currently reported in use on over a dozen Drupal sites. The 1.1.0 version is marked as a stable release and is covered by the Drupal Security Team. Supporting organizations for this release include Kyanon Digital and Attico International, who contributed to testing and review.
