Yas Naoi to Present AI-Powered Workflow Engine Using YAML and LLMs at DrupalCon Nara
Yas Naoi will present a session at DrupalCon Nara 2025 titled “Don’t Write Code, Start Prompting! AI Orchestration of Digital Experiences,” showcasing a workflow engine that interprets YAML-defined decision logic using a large language model to automate approval processes in real time.
The system operates by ingesting human-readable rules into a retrieval augmented generation (RAG) datastore, enabling AI-driven execution of decisions without the need for direct coding. The session will include a live demonstration of the full pipeline from defining rules and designing prompts to registering them in the datastore, alongside best practices for improving retrieval accuracy and extracting structured data from unstructured documents.
Participants will receive practical techniques for expressing approval workflows, structuring rules for optimal LLM-based retrieval, and maintaining workflow relevance without modifying application code. The presentation is aimed at helping developers and organizations embed generative AI into Drupal and other digital platforms.
“In this session I will show how teams can express decision logic in human readable YAML rules and let AI interpret and execute them in real time through a retrieval powered engine. This approach connects prompt design, rule automation, and workflow orchestration in a practical way. It allows organizations to build flexible approval processes that stay current without changing code. I hope this inspires Drupal professionals to think of GenAI as a collaborator that helps structure and manage digital operations more effectively,”
said Yas Naoi.
