Organisers of DrupalCon Chicago 2026 are now accepting volunteer applications for a range of roles supporting the event. Volunteers will assist in key areas, including attendee support, event documentation, and community engagement.

The available roles include:

Scholarship Mentor - Assist scholarship recipients in navigating the conference and connecting with the community.
Photographer - Capture event moments during scheduled shifts using a provided shot list.
Local Ambassador - Offer recommendations and local insights to help attendees explore Chicago.
Onsite / Registration Support - Assist with registration, logistics, translation, and general event support.
Trivia Committee - Organise and host DrupalCon's annual Trivia Night.

Volunteer applications are being accepted on a rolling basis, depending on the role. The application deadline is October 30, 2025.

Compensation varies by commitment level. Volunteers contributing up to 20 hours will receive a 25% discount on their ticket. Those contributing over 20 hours are eligible for one complimentary ticket. Discounts and complimentary tickets are non-transferable and cannot be combined with other offers. All applicants will be notified whether they are selected or not.
