Drupal US Central Timezone Meetup to Host Dual Events with Shared Zoom Session
The Drupal US Central Timezone community will host two separate in-person meetups on Wednesday, October 15, with a shared Zoom session connecting both locations for a coordinated hybrid experience.
The Drupal Chicago meeting will run from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM CDT at ICStars, 750 N Orleans St, 5th Floor. The Fox Valley Drupal Quarterly User Group will meet from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM CDT at Fox.Build Makerspace, 11 E Main St, St. Charles. Both venues will host a meet and greet starting at 6:30 PM, followed by a shared Zoom session beginning at 7:00 PM CDT.
The Zoom session opens with community updates from Matt Glaman, covering developments from DrupalCon Vienna, including Drupal Canvas and AI initiatives. The main presentation, titled “A Most Accommodating Module: How the Charts Module is a Microcosm of Drupal,” will be led by Daniel Cothran of JSI Research & Training Institute. Daniel, a top 60 Drupal contributor, will demonstrate multiple approaches to rendering the same chart using the Charts module and reflect on the broader implications of Drupal's flexible architecture.
The Zoom session is expected to conclude at 8:00 PM CDT, with in-person attendees at both locations welcome to continue informal discussions afterward.
Access details for the Zoom session will be posted in the MidCamp and Drupal US Central Timezone Slack channels.
