DrupalCon Vienna 2025: Free “Drupal in a Day” Workshop for Students on October 17
DrupalCon Vienna will host a one-day introductory program, "Drupal in a Day," on October 17, 2025, aimed at students and newcomers interested in web development and open-source technology.
The event is designed as a hands-on introduction to Drupal, the open-source content management system used by governments, universities, and enterprises worldwide. Open to university and college students from any discipline-ranging from computer science and media to business and design-the program requires no prior experience.
Participants will receive a crash course in Drupal basics, build their first Drupal website through guided workshops, and engage directly with experienced developers and agency professionals from the Drupal community. Attendees will also leave with a self-directed project to continue working on after the session.
The event is free of charge. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own laptops, though all necessary cloud infrastructure and local development tools will be provided and supported during the session.
"Drupal in a Day" offers an entry point not just into using Drupal, but also into potential career paths in open-source web development. Full details and registration are available at: https://events.drupal.org/vienna2025/drupal-day
