Drupalers Association Pune Launches Fundraiser to Support DrupalCamp Pune 2025
The Drupalers Association Pune (DAP), a registered Section 8 nonprofit, has launched a fundraising campaign to support DrupalCamp Pune 2025 and sustain its year-round community initiatives.
DrupalCamp Pune 2025 is scheduled for September 13-14, 2025.
DAP is entirely volunteer-driven and has been active since 2012, organising over 25 events that have engaged more than 3,000 attendees and supported over 100 speakers. The association focuses on building inclusive and accessible learning spaces through regular meetups, workshops, and DrupalCamp Pune, its flagship event.
The funds raised will go toward several key areas:
- Supporting monthly and annual events that foster collaboration and learning
- Covering compliance-related expenses such as IT filings and audits
- Offering subsidised tickets and grants to students, job seekers, and underrepresented groups
- Managing rising costs tied to venues, logistics, and operations
- Bridging gaps left by declining sponsorships
DAP emphasises transparency, sharing all governance decisions, minutes, and budgets publicly. As a registered nonprofit, all donations are eligible for 80G tax exemptions under Indian law.
With fewer sponsors than in previous years, DAP is calling on the community to contribute, highlighting that even small donations can have a direct impact on keeping events accessible and the open-source ecosystem thriving in India.
