Pitch-Burgh in Detail: Read Dries’ New Blog Post
DrupalCon Pittsburgh stands out in the memory of the Drupal community with the Pich-burgh innovation contest and its results. Drupal founder Dries Buytaert announced the result of the contest during the event.
Dries has published a new blog post elaborating on the keynote address and the Pitch-burgh competition. According to him, the contest was well received among the DrupalCon attendees. Many attendees also expressed their desire to see it return in future DrupalCons.
In total, 35 proposals came in for the contest. Among them, 5 submissions were found eligible to receive funding. The winners were determined through a live audience vote at the event. An amount of 75,000 USD was garnered through sponsorships. Dries specially thanks the sponsors in the blog post.

- JSON data and schemas FTW (Brad Jones, $20,000)
- Drupal API Client (Brian Perry, $10,000)
- Contributing and Mentoring the mentor (AmyJune Hineline, $6,000)
