Drupal AI Summit Paris 2025: A Breakthrough for Open, Private, and Secure AI
Held on December 9 as part of API Days/FOST 2025, the first Drupal AI Summit in Paris drew a packed audience of over 170 attendees eager to explore open, secure AI in practice. Daniel Lemon of amazee.ai recaps the event’s standout moments—from standing-room-only sessions to a revealing panel of AI developers. With participants from across Europe’s government, higher ed, and enterprise sectors, the summit proved Drupal’s AI ecosystem is not just keeping pace, but leading the way in privacy-first, sovereign AI solutions.
Sessions covered real-world implementations like Private AI Assistants running on amazee.ai’s stack, AI orchestration with LangChain and LangGraph, and agent-based workflows introduced by FreelyGive and Kalamuna. Talks by Omedia, Pantheon, and Open Social emphasised Drupal’s role as a governance and orchestration layer for AI, with UX and trust emerging as central themes. Whether exploring content optimisation, ethical AI integration, or LLM-powered search, the summit showcased Drupal as a central nervous system for AI infrastructure, and ended in true community fashion over glühwein at the Paris Christmas market.
