DrupalEasy Offers New Single Directory Components Course Starting January 2026

DrupalEasy has announced a new 18-hour professional training course on Single Directory Components (SDC), scheduled to begin January 26, 2026.

The course, taught by Michael Anello, will provide an in-depth understanding of creating and using SDC in Drupal 11 while remaining compatible with Drupal 10.3+. It introduces participants to component-based development practices similar to those used in modern JavaScript frameworks like React.

Delivered online over two weeks with three-hour sessions on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, the course includes weekly office hours, 90 pages of curriculum, and class recordings. Participants will also gain access to a dedicated Slack channel and the DrupalEasy Learning Community.

The curriculum covers SDC fundamentals, schema validation, props and slots, integration with render arrays and template files, usage with Drupal contrib modules and Drupal Canvas, and generating components with Drush. It also includes modern CSS techniques using PostCSS and explores how AI tools can support SDC development. The course features nine hands-on examples designed to enhance real-world application and understanding.

This session runs from January 26 to February 6, with additional dates available starting April 6.
