Call for Nominations: Celebrate the People of Drupal in the 2025 Advent Calendar
For its fourth year, James Shields' Drupal Advent Calendar is shifting focus from code to community by highlighting the individuals who keep the project thriving behind the scenes.
This year’s theme is 'The People of Drupal'. Rather than showcasing new modules or clever technical feats, the calendar will celebrate the contributors whose quiet work makes the Drupal ecosystem possible. Initiative leads are invited to nominate someone from their team who has made a meaningful impact but has received little public recognition.
Each nomination involves only a few brief questions, with nominees later invited to share more details in their own words. Their stories will be published daily in December as part of the calendar, offering readers a personal glimpse behind each day’s “door.”
James Shields has curated the Drupal Advent Calendar for the past three years. He notes that the goal this year is to reflect the full diversity of the Drupal community, including people of all genders, backgrounds, and experiences. AmyJune Hineline provided editorial support for this year’s announcement.
If you lead a Drupal initiative and know someone whose contributions deserve more visibility, submit your nomination here.
