Expansion led by Paul Johnson and James Tillotson to strengthen digital services for UK institutions

1xINTERNET Establishes UK Base to Expand Drupal Services and Deepen Strategic Partnerships

Expanding its European Drupal footprint, 1xINTERNET has opened a dedicated office in North West England to reinforce long-term partnerships and serve British institutions more directly.

This move builds on established partnerships with organisations such as the University of Edinburgh and SHARP Electronics, and aims to provide UK-based clients with closer access to the company’s 85-strong Drupal team across Europe.

To lead UK operations, Paul Johnson has been appointed Managing Director, joined by James Tillotson as UK Growth Director. Together, they bring more than 30 years of experience in open-source and digital transformation leadership.

According to Baddy Sonja Breidert, CEO of 1xINTERNET, the new base allows the company to strengthen relationships and deliver its full European capabilities locally.

The company also partners with international organisations such as Nestlé, the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC), and the World Organization of the Scout Movement. The UK office is intended to support these relationships while developing new collaborations with institutions across the country.
