QED42 to Host Oaisys 2025 in Collaboration with FreelyGive
QED42 has announced that it will host Oaisys 2025, a two-day gathering for AI practitioners on 29–30 November 2025 at MCCIA, SB Road, Pune. Organised in collaboration with FreelyGive, the event is designed as an open space “for practitioners, by practitioners,” centred on applied AI, collaborative development, and practical systems-building.
Oaisys 2025 brings together developers, data scientists, and technologists working in the open-source and applied AI ecosystem. The conference emphasises transparency and collaboration, focusing on how AI transitions from experimentation to production through real-world use cases, open builds, and shared methodologies.
Key sessions will be led by Marcus Johansson, Tech Lead for Drupal AI, and Jamie Abrahams, Director at FreelyGive. Both will participate in keynote discussions and Drupal AI sprint sessions exploring integration, developer experience, and modular AI workflows in open environments. This marks Abrahams’ first engagement with the Drupal community in India, reinforcing the event’s cross-community collaboration ethos.
The program blends presentations, hands-on labs, and open working sessions. Attendees will be able to participate in talks and show-and-tell sessions highlighting pilot projects built in open frameworks, as well as panel discussions examining what’s real, what’s still evolving, and what’s next for AI adoption. Dedicated Drupal AI sprints will provide focused time for contributors to test ideas and advance shared prototypes.
According to the organisers, Oaisys aims to create a platform for people actively building AI systems to exchange lessons, showcase progress, and shape future directions in open collaboration. Registration, speaker submissions, and early-bird tickets are now available through the official event website at theoaisys.com.
