Artem Dmitriiev to Demo Field Widget Actions Module at DrupalCon Vienna 2025
Artem Dmitriiev of 1xINTERNET will present the Field Widget Actions module at DrupalCon Vienna 2025, introducing a flexible new tool that enhances the content editing experience in Drupal by placing actionable buttons directly within field widgets.
The module, introduced as a submodule in AI Core 1.2.0, enables editors to perform field-specific tasks such as renaming uploaded images or triggering contextual Event-Condition-Action (ECA) workflows—without leaving the content form. Each action is displayed as a button adjacent to its respective field, providing immediate utility during content creation and reducing repetitive tasks.
During the session, Artem will demonstrate real-world use cases and guide attendees through the process of creating and attaching custom plugins. The clean UI supports multiple actions per field, giving site builders the flexibility to tailor the editing interface based on specific workflow needs.
