Nextide Releases Maestro Template Builder v2.0 with Enhanced Workflow Editing Features
Nextide has announced the release of Maestro Template Builder v2.0 as part of the Maestro 4.2 update, introducing significant improvements to its visual workflow editor. The new version is built on diagram-js, the same JavaScript library behind BPMN.io, offering users a more robust and intuitive workflow-building experience.
Key updates include canvas panning, zoom controls, and a task palette bar that supports drag-and-drop functionality. Alignment guides now appear automatically to help users align tasks both horizontally and vertically. Task shapes have been updated as well, with round icons for start and end points, and diamonds for conditional “IF” tasks. The modal editing window has also been enlarged to improve usability.
This version serves as a direct drop-in replacement for the previous editor. Users simply need to update Maestro and clear their cache to begin using the upgraded interface. Workflow centering may require manual panning or zooming, but these adjustments are stored automatically in the template’s saved data.
