Drupal CMS Analytics, Recipes, and Field Data Module Discussed on Talking Drupal #516

Talking Drupal #516 - Drupal CMS & Recipes

In this episode of Talking Drupal, Dharizza Espinach joins hosts John Picozzi, Nic Laflin, Rich Lawson, and Jacob Rockowitz to discuss her role as the Analytics Track Lead for Drupal CMS. Dharizza details how her team approached simplifying analytics setup-particularly for non-technical users-through the creation of a Google Analytics recipe that integrates with Drupal's privacy and project browser systems. This recipe includes prompt-based configuration for Google Tag Manager IDs, making analytics setup both guided and accessible.

Also featured is the Field Data module (1.0.0-alpha12, contrib), maintained by Jacob Rockowitz. This tool adds a "Data" tab to the field report UI, helping site builders review, audit, and export field-level content entity data-particularly useful during migrations or content audits.

Community engagement and future plans, including support for Matomo and experience builder integration, were also discussed.

Contribute or follow development on Field Data or join Dharizza on Drupal Slack (@dharizza) for recipe collaboration.
