Upcoming A11yTalks to Feature Discover Financial's A11Y Theme Builder

The next edition of A11yTalks is scheduled for December 12, 2024, and it will feature Lise Noble, the Director and Distinguished UX Engineer and Designer at Discover Financial Services. Lise will discuss the A11Y Theme Builder, Discover's first open-source project. Designed to aid teams in creating accessible digital experiences, the A11Y Theme Builder supports light and dark modes across devices and platforms and includes user interface options tailored for individuals with ADHD, dyslexia, and colour blindness.

A11yTalks, launched in 2017 by Carie Fisher, has grown into a nine-member team that fosters a collaborative environment for accessibility and development professionals. By adhering to a strict Code of Conduct, A11yTalks ensures respectful and inclusive dialogue among participants, striving to make all interactions safe and welcoming. The organization prioritizes diversity, actively including speakers from PwD, BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and other marginalized groups in tech.
