Annertech Wins Big at the Spider Awards 2024!

The 2024 Spider Awards was a glittering affair for Annertech, honoured by the win of the coveted Grand Prix and Best Universal Design awards. These honours were awarded for their work on the National Library of Ireland website, a project conducted in collaboration with the design agency bigO. The award ceremony occurred at The Mansion House in Dublin on March 1st.

Annertech, led by Managing Director Stella Power, along with Director of Development Mark Conroy and project manager Sean O’Connell, attended the ceremony. 

"The Spiders are the Oscars of the Irish web industry, so to get shortlisted is pretty special, to win one is just amazing, and to win the Grand Prix, to get recognized as the best of the best, that is simply phenomenal. I couldn’t be prouder of the team and what we have achieved."

The National Library of Ireland website was acclaimed for being a valuable national resource and a repository of Ireland's history, highlighting its significance beyond mere digital craftsmanship. The website was shortlisted in three categories: Best Website (SME), Best Cultural Driver, and Best in Universal Design. Additionally, another Annertech project, the Oxfam Ireland website, was also recognized in the Best in Universal Design category.

Mark Conroy expressed that winning the Grand Prix was a validation of the hard work and high standards that have contributed to Annertech’s reputation as a leading development agency in Ireland. Tracey Carney, Managing Director of The Spiders, acknowledged the exceptional quality and creativity shown by Annertech and bigO in crafting the library's website, particularly noting the challenge and their excellent execution.
