Davies advises website owners with Drupal 7 to initiate the upgrading process now. Unlike smoother transitions between other Drupal versions, moving from Drupal 7 demands significant code changes for compatibility, requiring careful testing and considerable time. With the support ending in 2025, proactive steps will prevent potential security vulnerabilities associated with running an outdated and unsupported version.
