About
Matthew Elefant is an early pioneer of rich media and content publishing solutions. Over his twenty-year career he has led many industry firsts, including the development of QuickTime television, the MSN video platform, Reuters news syndication platform, and is credited for producing the first Pay-Per Live Streaming event for Showtime and Clear Channel Communications. In 2005 he lead the acquisition and privatization of Savvis’ Media Services division with funding from Bear Sterns to create Origin Digital, an early leader in cloud based transcoding applications. At Origin he served as the company’s President and Chief Operating Officer until Accenture acquired the business in 2007.
In the same calendar year Matthew founded Melity, LLC as result of customers demanding value and increased productivity from their web applications. With an expertise in Enterprise Development, Corporate Portals, Interactive Web Applications Melity helps its clients unlock the ROI in their digital Media initiatives. Melity is dedicated to increasing the profitability and business success of our clients. Over the last five years, Melity has worked successfully, with Fortune 500, interactive agencies, and emerging media companies on a range of eCommerce, social and digital publishing solutions.
Matthew holds degrees from both Syracuse and Columbia University, and is currently an Adjunct Professor at New York University teaching an executive management course in
Digital Content Strategies.
