Final Call: DrupalCon Chicago 2026 Scholarship Applications Close October 31
Deadline approaches for DrupalCon Chicago 2026’s Inclusion and Community Scholarships, with applications set to close on October 31, 2025.
The Drupal Association is urging community members to apply now for the Inclusion and Community Scholarships designed to increase accessibility and representation at the upcoming DrupalCon. The scholarships are intended to support both individuals from historically marginalized communities and active contributors to the Drupal project who lack the financial means to attend the conference.
Successful applicants will receive a free general admission ticket to DrupalCon Chicago 2026. In addition, recipients of the Inclusion Scholarship will be awarded a $1,000 travel stipend, while those receiving a Community Scholarship will receive $500. The application window, which opened on October 1, will close on October 31, with recipients to be notified by November 12. Awardees must confirm their acceptance by November 28 and complete registration by December 12.
Each person is limited to one scholarship per year, and recipients are typically expected to volunteer a minimum of four hours onsite. Anyone who has already received a complimentary or discounted ticket for the event is not eligible. The program continues the Drupal Association’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion within the open-source ecosystem, acknowledging the intersecting systems of oppression that have historically excluded marginalized voices. The scholarships are also an opportunity for the broader Drupal community to show support, with donations encouraged to help expand participation.
